Hancock New York hosted its 1st Annual Mid-Summer BBQ Cookoff & Car Show on July 20th, 2024. The event took place around the Hancock Town Square at 20 E Main Street. The event was put together and presented by the Hancock Partners & the Hancock Chamber of Commerce, with all organized by our very own Paul Siegler of Klondike Farm. Our community hosted more than 2,500 people throughout the day across multiple events from the Farmer's Market, Mid Summer BBQ Cookoff, Car Show, Don Ellis Jr. Golf Tournament, and Summer Nights Live Outdoor Music Performances by Mark McGrath, Terri Paris, Caswyn Moon/Faith Kelly & The Lighten Up Band. The car show had more than 40 applicants and 30 participating cars due to rain which interrupted the show on and off for about 1 hour. Event photos at the bottom of the article. Time and Date for next year's car show in July to be announced this August to ensure more people can sign up to participate!
Best in Show was won by Butch Burdick with a 1965 Ford Mustang
Second Place went to Mike Hood with a 1970 Ford Torino GT
Third Place went to George Strumpfler with a 1970 Chevy Nova
Peoples Choice was Andrew Chmura with a 1973 Plymouth Duster
